Ann was born around 1877 in Padgate, Lancashire, England. She was the daughter of James Hepherd and Alice Daintith. She was christened on 11 November.[1]

In 1907 she married Richard Hunt, the son of farmer Henry Hunt and Hannah Pendlebury.[2] They had three (or more) children:
