George Walter Herigstad was born on February 21, 1927, in North Dakota, his father, Ole Herigstad (1892-1977) and his mother, Mabel Olga Gunderson (1897-1962). He married Patricia A Morris on June 10, 1951, in King, Washington. He died on February 12, 2016, in Olympia, Washington and was buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lacey, Thurston County, Washington.
