Biography

Charles Herndon Flanders Side 4th Great Granduncle 1843 to July 29th, 1862. Confederate States Army Private enlisted into Company F of the 3rd Georgia Regiment on June 10th, 1861 and was severely wounded at the Battle of Malvern Hill, dying of his wounds 28 days later on July 29th, 1862 Battles: Battle of South Mills (1862), Skirmish with 16th MA REG (1862), King’s School House (1862), and the Battle of Malvern Hill (1862)
