Carl Wilhelm Hesselblad and his brother Bror Knut Robert did military service in the Swedish navy 1898-1900.[2] They went back to their parents, who lived in Skövde at the time. But they both left Sweden quite soon.[3]
Carl Wilhelm Hesselblad married Emma Mathilda Carlsson in Kings, New York, 6 June 1903.[4]
