Industrial Society for more than 25 years and secretary of the North Coast Agricultural Societies' Association - an organisation of which he was the founder - from its inception in 1906 to his retirement in 1926. He was the founder of the Guernsey Herd Society in the district, took an active part in the control of the District Hospital, and was associated with horticultural societies and many other district public bodies and movements. For years he was the moving spirit behind the North Coast district exhibit in Sydney and Brisbane and by this means alone did much to make the district known. T.M., as he was familiarly known on half the showgrounds of the State, was born with a love of open-air life and all that pertained to agriculture. This trend in his nature was the main spring of his life and he got more pleasure from a beautiful rose, more enjoyment from persuading the farmers to try a new fodder or grass, than many men do from things usually considered to be of more material worth. The funeral will move from 41 Uralba street, at 2.30 p.m. to-day for the Presbyterian portion of the Lismore cemetery.
