Biography

Eliza Jane Robin HEYHOE was born on 21 June 1850 in Swaffham, Norfolk, England^[1]. Her parents were John HEYHOE and Jane Harris WILSON.

1851, infant Eliza was living in Minster, Kent, England in the home of her grandparents, William WILSON (age 56, Greenwick Pensioner) and Ann WILSON (49), with her parents John HEYHOE (24, Bricklayer) and Jane HEYHOE (26), uncle, Jabez WILSON(12), aunt Martha WILSON (10) and 4 lodgers^[2]

She and 2 of her brothers, Henry Cornelius Wilson (born 13 August 1853) and John Frederick Wilson (born 8 April 1855) were all christened together on 15 July 1859 in Swaffham, Norfolk, England^[3].

The ship Canterbury set sail from Liverpool, England via Plymouth on 25 September 1867 with 3 HEYHOE siblings among the passengers and arrived in Hobson's Bay, Colony of Victoria on 17 December 1867^[4][5]. The HEYHOE siblings were Eliza (age 17, Servant), Henry (13, Labourer) and John F (12, Page).
