Mrs. Hazel L. Rush, 82, of 666 N. Spring, Independence, died today at a nursing home in Kansas City.
She was born in Independence and was a lifelong area resident. Mrs. Rush was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was a member of the Women's City Club, the Graceland Mother's Club and a 50-year member of the Linwood Child Conservation Club.

Mrs. Rush leaves two sons, George A. Rush, Dimmitt, Tex., and William A. Rush, Overland Park; two daughters, Mrs. Martha Robinson, Kansas City, and Mrs. Iris Woodside, Grandview; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Mount Moriah Chapel; burial in Mount Moriah Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 tonight at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Graceland College Memorial Scholarship fund, Lamoni, Iowa.
