Biography

Thomas Higgenson was born in 1525 in Wilmslow Parish, Cheshire, England. He married Ellen Higgenson. They had the following children:

1. Custance Higgenson (b. c1559)
2. William Higgenson (bp. 8 Jul 1562, Wilmslow, Cheshire, England)^[1]

He died on 18 Feb 1601 in Cheshire, England.

Research Notes

• The attached wife has the same last name. Were they related, or did the profile owner just not know her last name at birth?
• There was a Thomas Higgenson buried in Wilmslow, Cheshire, England on 10 Jan 1602/3.^[2] Further research is needed to determine whether there were other Thomas Higgenson's living in the area who could be the person buried then, or if it was likely this Thomas Higgenson.
  • There was a Thomas Higginson named as father of Willm. Higginson in Mobberly, Cheshire, England baptism on 4 Jul 1589. It is unlikely this Thomas Higginson would have been fathering children at the time, especially since his attached wife would have been 59 years old, but this could be the person who was buried in 1602/3.^[3]
