James Higham was born in Wigan, Lancashire, England.
James Henry Higham was born on 7 June 1881 at 21 Field Street, Wigan, Lancashire, England, He was the son of Joseph Higham and Alice (Smallshaw) Higham.[1] [2]
In the 1891 census James was living in Wigan, Lancashire. Age: 9Relation to Head of House: Son.[1]
In the 1901 census James was living in Wigan. [3]
When James was 24 he married Florence Beatrice Wardle on 9 May 1906 in Wigan. [4]
In 1911 he was living in Wigan. [5]
James served in the military from 1914 to 1920. On 10 May 1917 he was recorded in the Royal Garrison Artillery No.155287 Gunner J.H.Higham 425 Battery.[6]
He died at the age of 76 on 7 February 1958 at 12 Bridgeman Terrace Wigan.[7][8]
