Biography

Eunice was born on 7 Jun 1905 in Creighton, Nebraska, the daughter of Harry F Hildreth and Rebecca J Smith.^[1]

In 1910, Eunice, her parents Harry and Rebecca Hildreth, and 3 step-siblings with the last name Bruer, lived in Stuck Precinct, King, Washington. Harry worked as a farmer.^[2]

Eunice Duncan and Robert J. Hodgkin were married on 29 Nov 1924 at Tacoma, Pierce, Washington. The ceremony was performed by Frank A Magill, Justice of the Peace, with witnesses Mrs. Beryl Brewer and S. H. Brewer.^[3] Based on US Census and other records, they had at least the following children:

• Jack D. Hodgkin, b. ca. 1926 Washington
• Fay Lorraine (Hodgkin) Brow, b. ca. 1927 Oregon
• Ada Jane Hodgkin, b. ca. 1928 Washington

In 1920, Eunice Hildreth lived on First Avenue, Algona, King, Washington, with her parents, Harry F. and Rebecca J. Hildreth, and an older half-brother. Father Harry worked as a laborer at a milk condenser.^[4]

Eunice Hodgkin died on 5 Aug 1992 in King County, Washington, at the age of 87.^[5][1] She is buried at the Mountain View Cemetery, Plot: Long Block, Auburn, King, Washington.^[6] Her husband, R. J. (Hodge) Hodgkin, is also buried there.

Harry's parents were both born in Iowa, while Rebecca's father was born in Maryland and her mother in Virginia.
