Pleasant was born 25 Dec 1780 in Virginia, United States

Pleasant married Sally Rippetoe on 18 March 1797 in Amherst, Virginia, United States.[1]

They lived in Franklin, Tennessee in 1820 [2] and 1830[3]

1840 they lived in District 164, Wilkes, Georgia, United States[4]

1850 they lived in Franklin, Tennessee,[5]

Pleasant died 7 Jan 1851 in Franklin, Tennessee

He signed his will 29 Dec 1850 in Franklin County, Tennessee. He named wife Aldelphia, daughter Isabella, daughter Emily, son Edwin, son Albert, son Robert, son Grand, son illegible, Nicholas Matthews son of daughter Emily, six slaves: John, Danless (?), Tom, Caroline, Lafayette, Margaret (daughter of Caroline); negros Lucy, Liddy, Sam, Ben, Henry, George and Bob. His estate passed probate in Feb 1851.[6]

He was buried in Hill Cemetery #2, Franklin County, Tennessee[7] In Jun 1970 he was reinterred in Pauper Cemetery, Franklin County, Tennessee as part of the Tims Ford Resevoir project by the Tennessee Valley Authority.[8][9]
