Elizabeth Hill was born in 1850 in Madley, Herefordshire, England to Thomas Hill and Esther (Mosely) Hill[1]. Her birth was registered in Hereford, Herefordshire in the second quarter of the year, with mother's maiden name Mosely[2]

In 1851 Elizabeth Hill (age 10 months) lived at Lulham in Madley with her father Thomas (?? [34], Farm Bailiff), mother Elizabeth [Esther] (50 [30]), and three siblings: George (7), Sarah (5), and John (3), as well as servant George Parry (14, Farm Servant).[3]
In 1861 Elizabeth Hill (age 10, Scholar) lived at Lulham in Madley with her father Thomas (45, Agricultural Labourer), mother Ester (42), and five siblings: Sarah (14, Fitter?), John (12, Agricultural Labourer), Thomas (5), Margrain (3), and Christopher (1), as well as two lodgers: Richard Seal (47, Agricultural Labourer) and Henry Jinks (31, Agricultural Labourer).[4].
In 1881 Elizabeth Hill (age 30, Milliner) lived at 38 Cotterell Street in Hereford All Saints with lodger Ann Terry (29, Dressmaker).[5]
Elizabeth Hill (daughter of Thomas Hill) and James William Skyrme (son of Thomas Skyrme) were married on 23 Mar 1887 in Madley.[6] The marriage was registered in Hereford in the first quarter of the year.[7]
Annie Terry, who lived with Elizabeth in 1881, married James' brother George Skyrme later in 1887.
In 1891 Elizabeth Skyrme (age 40) lived at Handlands Cross in Madley with her husband James (45, Blacksmith), brother-in-law George (38, Blacksmith), brother-in-law's wife Annie (40), and aunt-in-law Margrett Williams (74, Living on her Means).[8]
Elizabeth's husband passed away in 1897:
"SKYRME James of Handlands Cross Madley Herefordshire blacksmith died 30 July 1897 Administration (with Will) Hereford 31 January [1905] to Elizabeth Skyrme widow and George Skyrme blacksmith Effects £30."[9]
In 1901 Elizabeth Skyrm (age 50) lived at Handlands Cross in Madley with her widowed brother-in-law George (48, Blacksmith).[10]
In 1911 Elizabeth Skyrm (age 60) lived at Handlands Cross in Madley with her brother-in-law George (58, Blacksmith).[11]
Elizabeth Skyrme passed away in 1932, aged 81 years. Her death was registered in Hereford in the second quarter of the year.[12].
