Mary was born on the 9th August 1885 in Fittleton, Wiltshire, England ^[1]. She was baptised on the 10th March 1886 in Fittleton ^[2].

Mary married Joseph Rashley on the 30th January 1911 in Fittleton, Wiltshire, England ^[3]. While Joseph was still serving in the Royal Navy, Joseph and Mary lived in Gosport, Hampshire ^[4]. After Joseph left the Navy the family moved back to Chickerell, Dorset where Joseph was employed as a labourer at Portland Dockyard ^[5].

Joseph and Mary lived in Dorchester, Dorset when they retired ^[6], but moved back to Chickerell in later life. Mary died in about February 1954 in Fleet, Dorset. She was aged 68 years 8 months ^[7]. Mary was buried on the 23rd February 1954 in Fleet, Dorset ^[8]
