Biography

Amos Cornelius Hodges was born on February 10, 1882, in Kirkwood, Missouri, to Isabelle "Belle" Dawson, age 33, and Hannibal Hamlin Hodges, age 56.

He married Blanche Caroline Blake and they had one son together. He also had two sons and one daughter with Virginia M Clover. In 1942, when he registered for the WWII draft, he worked for the St. Louis–San Francisco Railway, also called the "Frisco" ^[1], and he was described as 5' 6" tall, weighing 130 pounds, with a light complexion, blue eyes, and brown hair. ^[2]

He died on November 21, 1946, in Franklin, Missouri, at the age of 64, and was buried in Villa Ridge, Missouri, in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. ^[3]
