He married Blanche Caroline Blake and they had one son together. He also had two sons and one daughter with Virginia M Clover. In 1942, when he registered for the WWII draft, he worked for the St. Louis–San Francisco Railway, also called the "Frisco" [1], and he was described as 5' 6" tall, weighing 130 pounds, with a light complexion, blue eyes, and brown hair. [2]
He died on November 21, 1946, in Franklin, Missouri, at the age of 64, and was buried in Villa Ridge, Missouri, in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. [3]
