Biography

Hubert was born July 15th, 1901 in Lawrence, Whatcom County, Washington to Josephine Tallum Hoff from Wisconsin when she was twenty-one and C. Herman Hoff who was from Minnesota, a merchant and twenty three at the time.^[1]

During the 1910 Federal Census Hubert is enumerated with his parents Herman and Josephine and one brother Raymond in Licking (Part of Lawrence), Whatcom County, WA. Their neighbors at the time were Gustave and Emma Hoff and family (Cora, Chester, Jerrell, Evaline) and Hans and Caroline Hoff. The Hoff family is notated with parents born in Norway.^[2]

Hubert died January 24th, 1955 in Bellingham, WA and is buried in Greenacres Memorial Park in Ferndale, WA.

• Josephine 1910 Census states Josephine was born in North Dakota. Hubert's birth record states Josephine was born in Wisconsin.
