James was born on 30 July 1806 in Worth, Sussex and baptised there on 24 August 1806.[1] He is the son of of Richard Holland and Susanna Collins.
James married Sarah Groves on 25 May 1833 in Worth.[2]
In 1841 James was living in East Grinstead with his wife and their three children.[3]
James was living in Worth, Sussex in 1851 with his wife Sarah, five children and two visitors, one his father. Sarah was from Lindfield, Surrey.[4]
In 1861 James was living at Little Gibb Wenn in Worth, with his wife and five of their children.[5]
By 1871 James was living in Godstone, Surrey. He was working as a sawyer.[6]
There are two possible deaths in Godstone between 1871 and 1881.
