Melissa "Dora" Holloway, daughter of James A. Holloway and Sidney Mandy (Whiteside) Holloway, was born on 25 Oct. 1871 in Illinois.[1][2] She appeared on the census of 17 June 1880 in the home of her parents at Graham, Graham County, Kansas.[3]
She married William Albert Young. son of James Davenport Young and Leona Adeline (Bookout) Young, about 1890.
She and William appeared on the census of 19 June 1900 White Rock, McDonald County, Missouri.[4] She and William appeared on the census of 9 May 1910 at Justice Precinct 1, Wise County, Texas.[5]
She married William B. Gracey[6][1] She was identified as Mrs. Dora Gracey, Fort Worth, Texas in the obituary of her mother on 19 March 1925.[7]
Dora died on 27 Dec. 1938 at Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas and was buried at Pleasant Grove Cemetery #01, Decatur, Wise County, Texas.[1] Her obituary lists the names of her sons, daughter, and sister Mrs. Clara McAdams, Centerton, Benton County, Arkansas.[2] Her memorial has a photo of her headstone and links to those of family members.[8]
