Mary (Holmes) Dalton was born in Lincolnshire, England.
Mary was baptised in 1818 in Bassingham, Lincolnshire, England. She was the daughter of William Holmes and Mary Elkington.[1]
In 1840 Mary married Joseph Dalton in Bassingham.[2][3] At the time of the 1841 census, the family lived with Joseph's parents in Aubourn, Lincolnshire.[4] By 1851 they lived in Bassingham, where Joseph was an agricultural labourer.[5][6][7]
Mary died at the age of 52,[8] not long after the 1871 census was taken. She was buried in Bassingham.[9]
