Biography

Johannes, born 31 August 1904, the son of Ambros Holtan and Helga Holte. He was baptized 6 November 1904 at Sauherad.^[1]

He married Aaste Tveiten (1917-76), and lived at Akkerhaugen. Their daughter, Helga, sold her share of the farm in 1974.

At the time of the 1900 census, Ambros Olsen and Helga Leifsdatter were living at the farm Sunde, along with their children: Olav, Helga, Leiv, Tone, Halvor, and Gunnar . At the time of the 1910 census, Ambros and Helga were living at the farm Holtan, along with their children: Leif, Halvor, Gunnar, Ambros, Johannes, Helga and Tone. In both censuses, Ambros is using the last name of Sunde. Ambros was also listed at the farm Holtan in 1900, mentioned as the farm owner.
