Biography

Ethel was born 18 May 1899 in Pike Township, Coshocton, Ohio. She was the daughter of George Holtz and Katherine Ashcraft.[1] The family was living in Perry Township, Coshocton County, in 1900.[2] In 1910[3] and 1920,[4] the family was living in Muskingum County.

Ethel married Jesse Buker on 2 October 1920 in Newport, Kentucky.[5] They were living in Frazeysburg in 1930 with their 9-year-old daughter, Kathleen.[6]

Ethel died from kidney disease on 16 May 1946 at Bethesda Hospital, Zanesville.[7] Burial was at Frazeysburg Cemetery.[8]


RITES FOR MRS. BUKER AT FRAZEYSRURG SATURDAY

"Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Buker, 46, of Frazeysburg, were held at 2:30 o’clock Saturday afternoon at '.he residence with Rev. Robert C. Johnston officiating. Burial was in the Frazeysburg cemetery.

Mrs. Buker died early Thursday morning at Bethesda hospital where she had been a patient two weeks. She had been in failing health for several years.

She was born May 18, 1899 in West Carlisle, Coshocton county, the daughter of George and Katherine Ashcraft Holtz. Mrs. Buker was a member of the Frazeysburg Fresbyterinn church and the Dorcas Guild of the church She had lived In Frazeysburg nearly all her life.

Surviving are her husband, Jesse A. Buker; a daughter, Mrs. Kathleen Williams of the home; her parents of Frazeysburg; three sisters, Mrs. Inez Brown of Akron, Mrs. Mary Crawford of near Dresden, and Mrs. Maleva Willman of Columbus: a brother, Chester Holtz, of Frazeysburg, and a grandson, Robert Allen Williams of the home."
