Cornelius Hooglant / Hoogland was born in Abt. 1703 in NY. He was the son of Willem Dircksz Hooglant, and he passed away about May 1777. ^[1]

Cornelius dated 16 May 1770 Oyster Bay, Queens, NY probate 12 June 1781, named wife Sarah, names children Tunis, William, Cornelius equal shares, daughters Mary Hoogland, Margaret Vanderbelt, Catherine Simonson, Anne Bennet, Phebe Duryea. Exe. the sons Tunis and William. ^[4]

Daughter Neeltje and her husband were both deceased, not named in the will nor their two children. Daughter Margaret b. 25 Jan 1730, married 4 Oct 1751 Derrick Vanderbelt bp. 10 Nov 1727. Catherine b. 16 April 1738 d. 8 Nov 1794 married 1) Rem Bennet, married 2) Aaron Simonson. Annie m. Jeremiah Bennet, no issue. Phebe bp 25 June 1752 m. 30 Nov 1770 Gabriel Duryea.
