Mary Jane's parentage is uncertain - father unknown and mother likely to be Hannah Hornsby (1845-) because the two were together on the census so often, often listed as grandchild of Hannah's parents or niece of one of her brothers. It is possible that Mary's mother was Hannah's sister Mary Ann Hornsby (1846-).
