William Horton was a trustee of Oglethorpe. William built a home on Jekyll Island. Had many sons. Some whom he did not take from Savannah to there. The DuBigdons OR DuBignons were prominent there also. I am researching his sons as a possible relation to my tree. William died in 1738 on an expedition. William left England with a female Slave , landed in another , Australia, I believe, need to check. But did not leave this site with her.
