Ernest Howard was born in Desborough, Northamptonshire, England.

Ernest was born in 1864 in Desborough, Northamptonshire, England; his birth was registered in Kettering, Northamptonshire, England.[1] He was the son of Ebenezer Howard and Mary Ann Paice.

Ernest was baptised on 29 May 1864 in Desborough, Northamptonshire, England.[2]

The 1871 England and Wales Census shows Ernest living with his maternal grandparents and family in Michelmersh, Hampshire, England.[3] He was seven years old.

On 1 November 1888 Ernest married Mercy Nicholson in Deane, Lancashire, England.[4] He was 24 years old.

The 1891 England and Wales Census shows the couple living in Tonge Moor Road, Tonge, Lancashire, England.[5] Ernest was 27 years old and was working as a Life Assurance Agent.
