Herbert was born in 1878. He was the son of William Hudson and Sarah Thomas. He passed away in 1929. ^[1]

William first appears on the 1881 census at Lower Redbrook, Gloucestershire.^[2][3]Head of the household is John Hudson married age 62 a Timber Merchant born in Redbrook. Gloucestershire. Jane Hudson wife 56. Hannah Jane daughter 19. all born in Redbrook. William Grandson 2 born Colebrook. Living next door are Thomas Hudson head 64 a Barge Builder born Newland. his wife Ann 57 born Chittenham. Thomas son 16 Drawer in Tinplate works born Newland. and John Miles a lodger age 22 a Signalman, for the Great Western Railway born Peterstone, Gloucestershire.

William passes away on 11th July 1929 and he was buried at All Saints Churchyard, Newland, Gloucestershire.^[12][13]
