Earl Everett Hughes was born on July 15, 1899 in Bethel, Anoka, Minnesota.[1] He was the son of Charles William Hughes and Margaret Dolly Gracie. At age 11 months, he was in his parent's home along with 3 siblings, in Bethel, Anoka, Minnesota.[2]
He married Nellie LaVina Dawson (1894-1975) on September 7, 1922, in Anoka, Minnesota.[3] They had 3 children.
Earl was a Farmer in Concord, Dodge, Minnesota in 1930, with wife Nellie (age 33) and children, Sibil-10, Earl-7, and Janice-4.[6]
They lived in Kasson, Dodge, Minnesota in 1940, where he worked as a Laborer.[7]
He died at the age of 62, on April 2,1962 in Kasson, Dodge, Minnesota, and was buried in the Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center, Dodge, Minnesota.[1]
