Birth

• Maria was born in 1849, daughter of Arij Huijsman (abt.1829-) and Aaltje Sonneveld (abt.1829-).^[1]

Marriage

• In Vrijenban on May 7, 1879. On the one side Arend van Buijtene, 34 years of age, occupation farmer (NL:bouwman), born in Pijnacker, living in Vrijenban, widower of Leentje van der Hout, adult son of Arend van Buijtene, deceased, and Elisabeth de Groot, without occupation, living in Pijnacker. On the other side Maria Huijsman, 30 years of age, occupation seamstress, born and living in Vrijenban, adult unmarried daughter of Arij Huijsman, occupation oil miller (NL:olieslager), and of Aaltje Sonneveld, without occupation, both living in Vrijenban. The marriage took place in the presence of the witnesses Arie Notenboom, 55 years of age, occupation local policeman, living in Vrijenban, a friend, Willem Rolvink, 22 years of age, occupation laborer, living in Nootdorp, a friend, Cornelis Uphus, 28 years of age, occupation shoemaker, living in Stompwijk, a friend, and Gerardus Johannes de Jong, 26 years of age, occupation tax collector, living in Delft, a friend.^[2][3]
