Thomas Humphries came free to the Colony of New South Wales (1788-1900)
Thomas was born about 1751.
Arriving in the Colony of New South Wales on 24 July 1808 on the ship Recovery, Thomas was one of 119 troops sent to augment the New South Wales Corps. [1][2]
At the age of 60, he married Charlotte Badger at St Phillip's, Sydney, in 1811. [3]
Thomas has served as a Private in the Royal Veteran Company, which was part of the New South Wales Corps. The Company was disbanded in September 1823, and on 3 November 1823, he was given the entitlement to a grant of land and was noted to have a wife and child.[4]
He died in 1843, aged 92, and was buried as St Matthew's Church, Windsor, New South Wales. [5]
