Biography

Vere was born in 1713. He was the elder son of Vere Hunt and Constance Piers. He passed away in 1787. ^[1]

He married firstly Catherine the daughter of William Chadwick of Ballinard in April 1743.^[2] They had one son who died young.^[3]

He married secondly Anne, daughter of Edmond Browne at Newgrove on 29th May 1760.^[4] They had:^[3]

1. Vere
2. John who married Jane Henn in 1789,^[5] and then Frances Evans
3. Jane who married John Hamilton Lane.

Vere also had a "natural son" whose daughter Margaret petitioned his son Sir Vere for relief after his death in 1789.^[6]

He died at Curragh on 12th May 1787 and was buried at Askeaton the next day.^[6]
