Ann (Hunter) Troath was born in Staffordshire, England.

Ann was born in 1819 in Willenhall, Staffordshire, England. One of six children, the daughter of a locksmith Thomas Hunter and his wife Ann Webster. Ann was baptised on the 14th of February 1819 at St. Giles Church, Willenhall, Staffordshire. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]

Marriage

Ann heavily pregnant with their first child married Joseph Troath a Tailor, on the 18th of May 1835 at St. Peter's Church, Wolverhampton, Staffordshire. Joseph signed his name and Ann marked with an X, witnesses to the marriage were Samuel Troath the grooms father and John Biddulph[6] [7] [8] [9] [10] [11] [12]

Ann and Joseph had fifteen children during their twenty five years of marriage, sadly only five survived past childhood.
