Biography

Filippa was born about 1803 ^[1] to Gaetano Iannazzo, middle class, and Vincenza Abruzzo ^[2]. At age 21, she married 34-year-old Ignazio Morreale ^[3], a field hand, and they had multiple children. Ignazio died some time before January 1845; in January 1845 at age 39 she married 54-year-old farmer Giuseppe Cusenza ^[4]. She was widowed again and in 1860 she married 43-year-old Giuseppe Ferraro ^[5] -- his first marriage. Given Filippa's age, 54, there were unlikely to be children from this 3rd marriage.

The birth record for daughter Vincenza names her mother as Filippa IannUzzo.
