James, son of David Imray & Anne Johnston, was baptised on 31 December 1819 in Midmar, Aberdeen, Scotland.^[1]

Attendent in Lunatic Asylum, living in Lunatic Asylum at time of marriage 1869^[2]

In the 1871 census James (age 50), Allendant (domestic Assistan, was the head of household at 3 Henry Place, Old Machar, Aberdeenshire.^[3]

James died on 2 July 1895 in Aberdeen, Scotland. Noted as sometime attendant Royaal Lunatic Asylum. Confirmation granted to an Advocate from Aberdeen, John Imary Aboune brother and william Imray , son. ^[4]
