William Irving married four time his second wife was Mary Wilson who he married on the 11th of April 1826 in Annan, Dumfriesshire, Scotland.

William Irving married Elisabeth Rebanks on or after 7 April 1834 in Annan, Dumfriesshire, Scotland.^[2]

Later he married Mary Ann Wilson (perhaps in England).

William died at High Street Annan of a haemorrhage in November 1863. His death was reported by his son Benjamin. ^[3] His parents were reported to be Benjamin Irving and Janet Oliver.
