William Irving married Elisabeth Rebanks on or after 7 April 1834 in Annan, Dumfriesshire, Scotland.[2]
Later he married Mary Ann Wilson (perhaps in England).
William died at High Street Annan of a haemorrhage in November 1863. His death was reported by his son Benjamin. [3] His parents were reported to be Benjamin Irving and Janet Oliver.

In PIgots Annan Directory page 347 there are two William Irving's listed as Joiners and Carpenters: Irving, William of Downies Wynd and Irving, William of Butt Street. The Inn keepers do not have a WIlliam Irving listed.
