Eric SÄLL was born in 1767 in Norra Vi, Östergötland, Sweden.72 He lived in Sund, Östergötland, Sweden before 1791.420 He lived Tovarpstugen in Asby, Östergötland, Sweden between 1792 and 1808. He died about 1807.62 Erik Säll took part in the Pomeranian War in 1805-1807, when the greater part of the company of soldiers from Ydre were taken prisoners of the Napoleonic troops on November 6, 1806 in Lübeck. On board a ship in a channel at Lübeck they were caught napping and after their capture were taken to a concentration-camp outside Paris. Most likely, Erik died in the imprisonment. He did not return when the surviving prisoners were released in 1810. His wife Britta L. Jakobsdotter remarried (in 1812) the next soldier at the rote 116 Tovarp, Petter Säll. He was soldier in Asby, Östergötland, Sweden. He was a "Lifgrenadier". He was 5 feet, 9 inches tall (178cm). The names Säll means "blessed" or "blissful".
