Obituary: Katherine Elizabeth Patton
A funeral service for Mrs. Katherine Elizabeth "Kate" Patton, 97, of Fredericksburg will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Wheeler and Thompson Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mark J. Olson officiating. Burial will be in Berea Baptist Church Cemetery, Stafford County. Pallbearers will be P. Neil Layman, Jackson F. Graves, Marion P. Connelly, Marion P. Harding, Willie E Loughridge and R. Howard Smith. Mrs. Patton died Wednesday at the Fredericksburg Nursing Home. The widow of Norman Patton, she is survived by several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at the funeral home." Death notice published in The Free Lance-Star (Fredericksburg, Virginia); Friday, 28 January 1983, page 27.
