Leon Janney was born in Utah.

Leon was born in 1917. He passed away in 1980. Son of Nathan Haines Janney Jr and Bernice Rebecca Kohn.

American actor and radio personality.

He appeared in the 1930 Little Rascals comedy Bear Shooters as "Spud".

He served in World War II as a translator and could speak fluent Russian.

He was blacklisted in films in the 1950s due to the "red scare".

He appeared in dozens of radio series, including some of the most popular and longest running, such as the critically acclaimed dramatic series Suspense, The Mysterious Traveler and X Minus One.

A 1936 newspaper article mixed up his wife, Jessica Pepper, with actress Barbara Pepper.
