David completed the U.S. World War II Draft Registration card^[3]on 16 February 1942. At the time David resided with his family in Lansdowne Avenue, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and worked for the Philadelphia Railroad Company in Parkside Avenue, Philadelphia.

David passed away aged forty one on 20 June 1944 and was laid to rest^[4]at Loudon Park Cemetery, Baltimore.
