GEORGE KIMBALL JEWETT (Samuel, John, Moses, Jonathan, Joseph, Maximilian, Edward), was born in Gardiner, Maine, August 9, 1812. He married in Portsmouth, New Hampshire., October 21, 1840, Maria Louise March, who was born in Portsmouth, November 1818, daughter of Nathaniel B. and Sarah Huntress (Drisco) March. Mr. Jewett was a lumber merchant and President of the European and N. A. R. R. Co., of Maine. He lived in Bangor, Maine, for a number of years and removed to Boston, Massachussetts, where he died November 4, 1885. His widow died there February 1888.
