BIBLE RECORD from Marie Huestis: (March 2001)
"I wrote to Lyle's (my mother-in-law) "cousin" Norma Clay and asked for copies of the information located in the bible of Gideon M Job. I was very lucky considering the address that I had for her was a 1979 address. She still lives at the same location and was very happy to copy the info. So here it is straight from the photocopied pages:"

NOTE: per research of Marjorie Sherman (when asked about Fannie)
"I have just looked at the original 1870 census for the Gideon Job family. Although the name is definitely written as Fannie age 7/12 months and says she was born within the year in December, I believe this must be Cora May as she was born 20 Dec 1869. I don't think she was ever called Fannie, so maybe the family mentioned Fanny who had died and the census taker wrote the wrong name."

Note: per research of Marjorie Sherman
"The 1880 census is really messed up. In looking at the original writing of the names, the name 'Mary' could well be 'May'. And as Cora May is not listed among the children, this could be her. In the 1970's I copied this census at the Nat. Archives in D.C. and when I showed it to my father he said it was probably May as he had never had an Aunt Mary nor had he ever heard of a Mary in that family. This census shows the last three children as Newton, Jacob, and Perry. Perry should be Jesse. Also wife Catherine should be 45 not 47; Louisa should be 21 not 17; Molly should be 17 not 15; May should be 10 not 13. Another mistake is Catherine's place of birth. Listed as Missouri but should be Ohio as shown on the 1860 & 1870 censuses. Wish I could be more positive about what happened here but it certainly looks as if the census taker was confused........................Marjorie"
