Biography

Ann was born about 1835 in Pennsylvania.

She was the daughter of Rachel and Henry Johnson, and the sister of Civil War veteran Clayton Johnson of the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, the first regiment in the United States made up entirely of enlisted men of color.
