Biography
Third child and second son of Henry and Jane.
In 1901 census with family age 12 and At School[1]
Evan went to sea age 12-13 (?1911 or so) - his father took him down to Porthmadoc and fixed him up with a captain as a cabin boy
He later became a ?petty officer in the Merchant Navy sailing out of Liverpool like his brother William, and made many voyages to S America. His younger brother John came on one of these (to the River Plate) but it's said found the life too hard and went back to farming

Penri married Mair and had a son Iolo and a daughter Esyllt
Death
Evan died early in 1980 [2] Said to be buried in a Chapel near Llanbedrog, as Capten Evan Jones, with epitaph:
- Oi deithlau hir y daeth o
- am ennyd yma i huno
Lines of his grandfather, Evan Jones (the bard Iuean Eifion) which translate roughly as:
- From his long voyages he came here at last to rest
