Burial: Garden Of Memories 17954060

Services for Jerrel Jones, 67, of Elkhart will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First United Methodist Church of Elkhart with the Rev. Lynn Willhite officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.

Mr. Jones died Thursday at his residence after a lengthy stay at M.D. Anderson Hospital.

He was born Dec. 31, 1939 in Spiro, Okla., to Ancil Clinton and Lois Lorene Davenport Jones.

Mr. Jones was the owner of Jerrel Jones Mobile Homes for 22 years and was a rancher. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Elkhart.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Carolyn Jones; daughter, Sheryl Jones; son, Darrell Jones and wife Darlene; sister, Jo Ann Herring and husband Charles, all of Elkhart; brother, Cecil Jones and wife Diane of Palestine; four grandchildren, Dusty, Chelsea, Holly, and Katy; special uncle, Virgil Jones of Gladewater; and numerous other aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Jones, Mitchel Carnes, Doyle Campbell, Rudy Kaudelka, Mack Butler, and Arvel (Pon) Fincher. Honorary pallbearers will be Walter Duff and Omie Callaway.

Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 468, Elkhart, Texas 75839.
