The 1915 Rhode Island census reports Miriam, age 25, was living at 13 Parkis Avenue in Providence, with her parents, Orin E. (62) and Mary E. W. (54), her brothers, George W. (27) and W. Stanley (19), and sister Gertrude F. (23).[1]
After she married, the 1920 US Federal Census records her and her husband Edwin, both age 30, living at 1228 Narragansett Blvd. in Cranston, with the Hathaway family of four.[2]
The 1935 Rhode Island census gives Miriam's precise birthdate and indicates she was living at 16 Hall Place in Cranston at that time.[3]
Miriam and Edwin owned a summer "cottage" on Point Judith Pond, Narragansett, Rhode Island, where her daughters and their families spent many enjoyable times together. Croquet on the lawn was a favorite pastime. Miriam enjoyed having the proper dishes in which to serve specific foods. She would make rasberry sodas using the rasberries that grew in the vacant lot across the road and served them in soda glasses. She also made banana splits, served in glass banana split dishes. Another of her awesome desserts was peppermint ice cream with chocolate sauce.[4]
She passed away in May 1983, and was residing in Warwick, Rhode Island, at that time.[5]
