Mary (Jones) Whitmore was born in England.
Mary was born about 1834, parents John Jones & Alice Mott.
Baptised on 7 June 1835 at Aston Rowant, Oxfordshire, England, parents John and Alice Jones. [1]
Mary, aged 14, Episcopal & from Aston Rowant, arrived in Port Phillip, Australia on 5 July 1848 on the barque Mahomed Shah. [2] [3]
Mary Ann Jones (16) married Charles William Whitmore on 28 August 1850 at Pentridge (now Coburg), Victoria, Australia. [4]
From 1851, she gave birth to twelve children, three dying in childhood. Their last child, Sarah, was born at Wallan in 1875.
