The 1910 U.S. Census recorded the family in Denver, Colorado. Household members were Max Goodman, 35, a fruit peddler, born in Russia; his wife Mollie Goodman, 38, also born in Russia; their sons Isadore Goodman, 11, born in New York, and Ben Goodman, 6, born in Colorado; and their daughter Rebecca Goodman, 3, born in Colorado. Max and Mollie had been married 13 years, and Mollie had had three children. Their native language was Yiddish (indicating a Jewish background). Max had immigrated to the United States in 1895; his naturalization status was "papers." Mollie had immigrated in 1892.[2]
The 1920 U.S. census recorded the Goodman family in Denver. Max Goodman and his wife Mollie both were recorded as age 43, born in Russia (Jewish). Max had immigrated in 1895 and Mollie in 1893; both had been naturalized in 1916. Max Goodman was owner of a fruit store. Their children in the household were Isadore, 21, born in New York; Beanard, 16, born in Colorado; and Rebecca, 12, born in Colorado. Isadore worked in clothing manufacturing; Beanard and Rebecca had attended school that year. [3]
