Biography

Henry was baptised on 27th March 1853. His parents were John and Eliza and they lived at Breams Eaves. John was a Miner. ^[1]

Henry's father John died when he was 2 and his mother married again, to Matthew Beach. In 1861 Henry was living with 3 siblings in the Miners Arms at Whitecroft, as Matthew was an Innkeeper. ^[2]

In 1873 Henry emigrated to Ohio, USA and on 6th November 1879 he married Lydia Macklethwaite in Perry, Ohio. ^[3] The couple baptised a child, Gretrude on 20th April 1882 in Shawnee, Perry, Ohio.

Lydia died in 1901 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, USA . ^[4]

In 1910 Harry was living with wife Sarah. Sarah had been born in Ohio but her parents were Welsh. They had been married for 3 years. Harry was employed as a Pool room manager and they were living in San Francisco. ^[5]

Harry died on 29 August 1929, aged 75. He was living in Oakland, California and is buried there. ^[6]
