Biography
Denis son of William Keating, farmer, of Bahoss, and Bridget Keating formerly Foly, was born 20 Feb 1873 at Bahoss. The birth was registered by William Keating, father, of Bahoss, on 03 Apr 1873.[1] Another registration entry, between two entries dated 07 May 1873, was started but crossed through and endorsed ‘Register see no 357’: Denis son of William Keating, farmer, of Bahoss, and Bridget Keating formerly Foly, was born 20 Feb 1873 at Bahoss. The birth was registered by Bridget Keating, mother, on 30 Dec 1899.[2]
Denis Keating appeared in the 1901 census of Ireland at House 10 in Bahaghs, Bahaghs, Kerry, age 27, born Kerry, occupation farmer, as son to Bridget Keating.[3]
Denis Keating appeared in the 1911 census of Ireland at House 14 in Bahaghs, Bahaghs, Kerry, age 37, born County Kerry, occupation farmers son, as son to Bridget Keating.[4]
On 21 Feb 1914 at Caherciveen in the Registrar's District of Caher and Union of Caherciveen in the County of Kerry, the marriage took place of Denis Keating, full age, a bachelor and farmer of Bahaghs, son of William Keating, farmer, and Elizabeth O’Neill, full age, a spinster and farmer of Bahaghs, daughter of Eugene O’Neill, farmer, witnessed by William Foly, Minnie O’Neill.[5]
Denis Keating died 04 Apr 1951 at Carhan Rd, age 78, married, occupation: carter. The death was registered by Lizzie Keating, widow of deceased, present at death, of Carhan Rd, on 09 Apr 1951.[6]
