Påhl Keijser

Biography

Påhl Keijser was a trådmästrare in Skultuna Bruk in Skultuna parish, Värmanland, Sweden.

According to Smedskivan, he was married twice. We don't know the name of his first wife, but they had at least two children:

• Påhl dead 1690
• Salomon 1655-1738

His first wife passed away in December 1674 in Skultuna Bruk and was buried on December 20, 1674 in Skultuna.

Påhl married Margareta Mårtensdotter on November 11, 1677 in Skultuna.^[1] They had at least three children:

• Maria (1677-1677)
• Agneta b. 1678
• Leonard (1687-1771). He moved to the brass foundry in Norrköping and passed away there 84 years old in 1771.

In 1681-1684, he lived with his wife Margreta and his sister, also called Margeta in Skultuna Bruk.^[2]

Tråmestare (trådmästare) Påhl Keijser and wife Margreta are noted in the household record for Skultuna Bruk 1686-1888. Their maid Annicka is also noted, but no children.^[3]

In the household book covering 1689-1707, Påhl is noted dead and his wife is noted as Springare's wife. The last note of him receiving communion is in the summer of 1690, and then there are no notes for 1697, so he must have passed away some time 1691-1696. Unfortunally there is a gap in birth and marriage records in Skultuna 1680 - April 1697, and death records 1684- April 1697. so we don't have a more precise year or date.^[4]
