Biography
Could not find his death date. He married Peter Lineweaver's widow Maria around 1844. He is mis-indexed as Hecksel in the 1850 census, living with Maria, her youngest son by Peter, and their own two children, Sylvester and Amanda (b 1849). He is listed as one of the oldest citizens of Melrose in 1879.
