On 5 September 1916, Conrad Keller's widow (Louisa) and children (Katie Keck, George Keller, Louis Keller, Minnie Peter, Ida Rehg, Walter Keller, Eleanora Ebersohl, and Albert Keller) petitioned to have Conrad's will admitted to probate in St. Clair County. Louis was residing at 405 East St., Belleville, Illinois at the time. [2]

Louis died of a stroke at his home at 405 N. 7th Street, Belleville, the morning of 4 October 1943. [3] [4]
His obituary was published that evening in The Belleville News-Democrat (Belleville, Illinois), on pages 1 and 9. [5]
Louis's funeral was held on 7 October at Gundlach and Company Funeral Home in Belleville, officiated by Rev. B. J. Koehler, pastor of St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church. [6]
He was buried in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Belleville. [7] [8] [9]
